Let me tell you a story
About the times so old
When the lust for glory
Meant more than the lust for gold
The seven dwarven kingdoms
Lived in accord and peace
But rulers lost their wisdom
And the Golden Age was ceased
The more kings got the more they craved
And more their bearded heads did ache
The avarice with dragon's wings
Had slaved their hearts and minds
The kings of caves began the war
To be one ruler over all
To be the only Mountain King
Their greed had made them blind
The evil winds were blowing
And clouds hid the light
When in the calm of morning
The armies came to fight
They met on a battleground
Under the skies so glum
And mountains shook with sound
Of horns and battle drums
So arrows flew and axes clanged
The fight went on for days on end
The seven kings met their fates
Disgrace and grey tombstones
They didn't know that legend told
The one despising shiny gold
Would come to rule the seven states
And sit upon the throne
