DRAIN
Once beautiful now a shell of what used to be
forests turned to deserts
oceans poisoned from greed
life consumed by a plague called man
no longer left in silence
struck down for cities of filth
tranquility shattered by the sounds of progression
life was given in order for us to grow
we throw away it away because tomorrow is never here
the grip that is put on
tightens with every passing day
a struggle must be waged for her life
freedom from mans ignorance
freedom for all life
The world around us is getting destroyed at a pace that is uncontrollable. I can't even imagine what things will be like in 10, 20 or 30 years. We are taking too much from this planet, and not even thinking about the consequences. This planet is not ours to do with how we please. It has survived millions of years, and now in less than 200 years it will be destroyed. This ignorance must be stopped before all life as we know it ceases to exist. We must stop this killing of the earth and her creatures before they become a distant memory.
