Святой пророк Наум - один из 12 малых пророков, родом из селения Елкоша (Галилея). Время его жизни относится к VII в до Р. X. Ветхозаветная книга пророка Наума содержит предсказание гибели ассирийского города Ниневии за беззакония, разрушение Израильского царства и за хулу ассирийского царя Сеннахирима на Иегову. Обстоятельства жизни пророка неизвестны. Умер он на 45-м году жизни и погребен в своей родной земле.

The Old Testament book of the prophet Nahum contains a prediction of the death of the Assyrian city of Nineveh and the iniquities of the destruction of the kingdom of Israel and blasphemy of the Assyrian king Sennacherib in Jehovah . The circumstances of life of the Prophet are not known . He died on 45 th year of life , and was buried in his native land .
