The legend about Black Widow
This legend is known throughout Latin America, and possibly originated in Spain. It tells about one beautiful woman dressed in black robes from head to toe and the face covered by veil. She wanders from street to street after midnight, trying to lure drunk men into her house or nook. There she rips the veil from her face so unfortunate men can see the horrible skull. The victims, drunk men ,who are looking for love adventures for one night, scared to death at the sight of such beautiful little face and her skeleton laughter, from which their hair rise on end, they faint. When they come to life at dawn, they discover themselves lying in a stinking ditch or in the thistles bushes. After such night this unfortunates give themselves a word never again go out and drink until late.
Music and lyrics by Kirill Ostrovskiy
Drunk all the day
When you go away
Wanna have a rest
You can get
Walk in the street
The girl you will meet
Dressed in black
She will say:
“Hola mi amigo
Cuentame por favor
Por que estas solo?
¿Qué pasó, o mi amor ?
Ven conmigo hombre
Me quito el velo y
Puedes ver mi rostro
Come with me!”
Chorus:
Follow the black widow
Feeling her charms
Open the world of the
Endless enjoyment
Follow the black widow
Spreading your arms
But be aware
She’s a dangerous one
Midnight on the clock
Bar will be locked
But you don’t wanna stop
‘Till you drop
Skull under veil
Oh, what a fail!
Victim you will be
She can kill
“Hola mi amigo
Cuentame por favor
Por que estas solo?
¿Qué pasó, o mi amor ?
Ven conmigo hombre
Me quito el velo y
Puedes ver mi rostro
Come with me!”
Chorus:
Follow the black widow
Feeling her charms
Open the world of the
Endless enjoyment
Follow the black widow
Spreading your arms
But be aware
She’s a dangerous one
“Hola mi amigo
Cuentame por favor
Por que estas solo?
¿Qué pasó, o mi amor ?
Ven conmigo hombre
Me quito el velo y
Puedes ver mi rostro
Come with me!”
