The dawn has broken
The birds yet woken
But the quilt still covers my back.
An empty coffee cup
Calling: get up!
But the pillow still covers my face.
When you left me
A great piece of me died
I hold my breath
Life is waiting outside
Don’t shed more tears
Your darkness - in vain
Let shadows pass
Good memories remain.
Sunday’s coming
No dinner’s ready
But the table’s still perfectly laid
Sunset fades out
The last glimpse of daylight
Still await you to return.
