Загадочный и мистический Project Pitchfork сформировался в 1989 году. В 1989-м году Peter Spilles и Dirk Scheuber на концерте группы Girls Under Glass решают объединиться для совместного проекта и с тех пор постоянно занимает верхние строчки германских альтернативных чартов. Музыкальный стиль группы можно классифицировать как gothic-electro. Коллектив широко известен в кругах европейского и американского андерграунда своими красочными концертными программами. В 1995-м молодая немецкая группа Rammstein играла на разогреве у Project Pitchfork, ставших к тому времени мэтрами германской dark-scene. Он состоял из трех новых песен и ремиксов трэков из из альбома k. n. k. a. Первым крупным хитом дуета становится композиция Conjure из нового альбома lam-'bras 1992го года. Сразу же выходит лимитированное издание, моментально исчезнувшее с прилавков музыкальных магазинов. Альбом Entities вносит серьезный вклад в развитие эзотерических тенденций в электронной музыке, и впервые определяет философские воззрения Project Pitchfork.
