Over the valley so silent and dark
Burns up the sunrises gold-feathered ark
Over the mountains so dark
I am walking my road
The valleys've been sleeping for many the year
And once again has the Road brought me here
To my old friends so dear
While I'm walking my road
Well, the world of our days has another reward
Rich men, they all have forgotten the Word
That the paper still holds
The Word that says that in other days
We'll be forever in Heaven as one
Yes the Word, it says that forever we'll praise
The Saviour, the Lord, the Mighty One!
May the good and the pure be well out of my sight
And may I be attacked by the creatures of night
God will cast a light
Onto my road
May the sun burn my face and the cold bite my skin
I will be fighting as I've ever been
The evil within
I'll be walking my road
