Expressing the will of their generous voters
They pass legislation, prescribe dos and don’ts
But somehow the don’ts serve as prevalent option
“It will come to no good” – the motto they hold
So many things left to protect
So many freedoms to neglect
Focus on dangers, not on growth
Prevent the change of status quo
With permanent need to reveal something sacred
Like the lives of our children or our grandfathers deaths
They almost forget how to deal with the present
But never afraid to prohibit and ban
Sometimes they swear, sometimes they sing
All in the name of our well-being
Their foremost liability
Is to maintain stability
Hangout of crooks and unanimous puppets
Nana, nana
Competence rests, while servility flashes
Nana, nana
Nana, nana
Nana, nana!
Some do facepalms and laugh through tears
But most of the public is buying this
There’s no stop button to be pressed
So count me out, I guess!
