Dwelling among the trees
I sat by a murmuring stream
Listening to tales of wilderness
Into the arms of Morpheus I fell
To a land in a world between
My ethereal body was driven
Through a forest of pure mystic
Naught care I for earthly needs
From a shrub a shape appeared
Half a man and half a goat
Hooves it had instead of feet
And horns adorned his head
On a set of rustic reeds
This hybrid played delightful tunes
Pagan Melodies that surround me
And I knew I listened to Pan
Nymphs and satyrs gathered around
All were drawn by the tunes
No other sound could be heard
For even Mother Nature listened
By the end of these melodies
All too soon I woke
Returning do live by my kind
But still I recall those Pagan Melodies
