I'm self-imprisoned in this room
The tiny room with green wallpapers
The window's boarded up and draped
It's my atonement for all night long
I've lost the way to the sacred place
That disappeared long time ago, yeah
Where I rejected a gift of knowledge
And chose a life of a simpleton
I hope one day I'll go out not to the stair landing
When the door opens I will see the sunny glade
And I will find the path forgotten notwithstanding
But not today, but not today, but not today
I've lost a chance that I once had
Since then my life became so shallow
There's no more spirits in the shadows
There's no more magic in the air
But I keep looking for a sign
That door's still ajar for latecomers
And with the dull eyes of the goner
I search it's traces everywhere
I hope one day I'll go out not to the stair landing
When the door opens I will see the sunny glade
And I will find the path forgotten notwithstanding
I'm ready now, this time I will not be afraid
Towards the old declining Sun
Through ancient spruce wood I will run
A happy little boy responding to the call of endless void
