Bones to dust
how death has done it's part
old smiles fade
like forgotten stars
Life is dust
The bodys been ripped apart
no smiles stay
when they never start
A day to celebrate
And a few before his grave
With this name he'll navigate
Through dreams of days that devastate
And with my paws I'll claw my way
Through mountains with my cavalcade
And when my pads do crack and bleed
I'll drink my share of salty sea
Raze the meadow
and bring
the bullfrogs
i'll dine
in shadow
and sleep
with the fox
Cake my face with dirt
I'll confide only in the sun
Oh sun he's scorched the windmill
and destroyed
her white dress
now she swings
the lantern
out of rage
and distress
God bless
her soul
how life spins out of control
when you live this life of lust and crime
you can't help but collect some grime
But I saw you in the tall grass
putting flowers in a basket
and weaving them in through your hair
some of which went damn near bare
How she kept
on picking
and whistling her tunes
I will never understand
she howled at
the moon
Just
beasts
with
jest
lay
here
need
rest
Lay here. Keep warm. So short. The storm.
Keep whistling
Keep whistlin
and keep waitin
cause I'll be seein you
keep spinnin
and keep smilin
cause i'll be seein you
keep sleepin
and keep dreamin
cause i'll be seein you
keep talkin
and keep reachin
cause i'll be seein you, once we've both crossed this bridge
i'll keep listenin
and keep dreamin
cause i'll be seein you, once we've both crossed this bridge
i'll be seein you, once we've both crossed this bridge
seein you once we've both crossed this bridge.
