I see trees of green, red roses, too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue, and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
What a wonderful world.
The oath of the Soviet partisans, 1943.
“I, a citizen of the great Soviet Union, a faithful son of the heroic Russian people, swear that I will not let go of my arms until the last fascist bastard on earth is destroyed.
For the burnt cities and villages, for the death of our children, for torture, violence and abuse of my people, I swear to revenge cruelly, mercilessly and relentlessly.
Blood for blood! Death for death! I swear that I would rather die in a fierce battle with the enemy than give myself, my family and the entire Soviet people into slavery of insidious fascism! "
