When the wind has blown all the raindrops
And shadows of the trees becoming wise,
Think of the red and yellow patterns,
The leaves that are smiling in your eyes.
When the books are closed and pen forgotten,
And time of busyness has been and gone,
The pipe is lit, and candlelight is burning
The day is bringing teapot and it brings some warmth.
Sit down to the table, look at the rain,
Breathe some of that flower haze, say it’s relieving pain.
Make your thoughts and senses clear, and your eyes are bright,
Feel the snow upon your hair, and turn off the light.
