You know I used to stumble 'round and wonder why
Questioning the moon the stars the sky
And then I saw the truth all this pain was just in my head
I thought I better start living cause soon I just might be dead
And oh a great big water flooded me
I became just another drop in the big gigantic sea
And through all this pain confusion I did sift
And my soul felt lighter so I thought I'd write this funky ass riff
The next step I took it logically
Was to share my thoughts my life philosophy
But not all of the people wanted me to speak
They wanted the safety and the comfort of their negativity
And then I read the words of Mr. Gandhi
He said "be the change in the world you want to see"
And so I closed my mouth and I tried to live the truth
And saw it was a whole lot harder than preaching from a preacher's booth
And oh a great big water flooded me
True we might be drops but we ripple to infinity
And if ever you should forget this and start to trip
Just listen to this message while we drop this funky riff
