شعر تراثي رائع لقيس بن الملوح - لما تلاقينا على سفح رامة
و لمَّا تَلاقينا على ســـــــفحِ رامَةٍ ** وجدتُ بنان الـــــــعامريَّةِ أحمرا
فقلتُ خضبتِ الكفَّ على فراقنا؟! ** فقالت : معاذ الله , ذلك ما جرى
ولكنَّنِــــــي لـــــــما وجدتُكَ راحلاً ** بكيتُ دماً حتى بللــت به الثرى
مسحت بأطراف البنانِ مدامعي ** فصار خضاباً في اليدين كــما ترى

شرح الأبيات !!
وهي أن قيس ابن الملوح كان يريد أن يسافر فسألته ليلى الى أين انت ذاهب؟ فقال:اريد ان أسافر لأنشر شعري وأبحث عن رزق لي واعود . ثم سألته متى ستعود فأجابها بأنه لايدري.
ومرت السنون والاعوام ثم عاد ولما عاد وجد أطراف أصابع حبيبته ليلى أصبح لونها أحمر ..وكان في زمنهم ان من حنت(خضبت كفوفها) مخطوبه اي يفهم انها مخطوبه ..
فقال لها:هل خضبتي كفك ياليلى

And when we met on the foot of Ramah ** I found Banan Al-Amiriya red
So I said you put your hand on our separation ?! ** She said: God forbid, that is what happened
But when I found you gone ** I cried blood until it got wet
I wiped the edges of the banana with my tears **, and it became pigment in the hands, as you can see

Explanation of the verses !!
It is that Qais Ibn al-Malouh wanted to travel, so Laila asked him where are you going? He said: I want to travel to publish my hair and search for a livelihood for me and return. Then she asked him when she would come back and he replied that he did not know.
Years and years passed, then he came back, and when he returned, he found the fingertips of his beloved Laila, their color turned red .. And it was in their time that the one who had afflicted her (her paws) was engaged, meaning that he understood that she was engaged ..
So he said to her: Have you beaten the palm of your hand?
