Разлетелись вширь пыль и дым с Востока.
Заглянуло в Шир Саурона око.
Позабился мир в комнаты без окон.
Копит Пескунс жир у Врага под боком.
Если наплевать на обрывки света,
Если прочитать старые газеты,
Если расстрелять добрые планеты,
Мир устанет ждать Светлого совета.
И настанет час счастия топорного,
Услышишь в нас смех Владыки черного,
Летит приказ по грязи Неторного:
Всех под Карадрас - для труда их горного...
