The Road
1.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
Бежит дорога все вперед.
Кyда она зовет?
Какой готовит поворот?
Какой yзор совьет?
Сольются тысячи дорог
В один великий пyть.
Начало знаю; а итог -
Узнаю как-нибyдь.
2.
The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
Let others follow it who begin,
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
Бежит дорога все вперед,
Куда она зовет?
Какой готовит поворот?
Какой узор совьет?
Вперед по тысяче дорог
Теперь другим шагать,
А мне б - свернуть на огонек
Да чуточку поспать.

The Road.
one.
The Road Goes Ever ON AND ON
Down From The Door Where It Began.
NOW FAR AHEAD THE ROAD HAS GONE,
And I Must Follow, if I CAN,
Pursuing IT WITH Eager Feet,
Until It Joins Some Larger Way
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet.
And whither? I Cannot Say.
The road runs everything forward.
Cyda she calls?
What is the turn?
What is the story?
Thousands of roads are merged
In one great pic.
I know the beginning; And the result is
I recognize how-nibye.

The Road Goes Ever ON AND ON
Out from The Door Where It Began.
NOW FAR AHEAD THE ROAD HAS GONE,
Lethers Follow It Who Begin,
But i at Last WEARY FEET
Will Turn Towards The Light Inn,
My Evening-Rest and Sleep to Meet.
The road runs everything forward
Where is she calling?
What is the turn?
What pattern will the Council?
Ahead of a thousand ways
Now to run others,
And I b - roll on the light
Yes, a little sleep.
