Книга пророка Исаии. Глава 28, стихи 14-22.
14 Итак слушайте слово Господне, хульники, правители народа сего, который в Иерусалиме.
15 Так как вы говорите: “мы заключили союз со смертью и с преисподнею сделали договор: когда всепоражающий бич будет проходить, он не дойдет до нас,- потому что ложь сделали мы убежищем для себя, и обманом прикроем себя”.
16 Посему так говорит Господь Бог: вот, Я полагаю в основание на Сионе камень,- камень испытанный, краеугольный, драгоценный, крепко утвержденный: верующий в него не постыдится.
17 И поставлю суд мерилом и правду весами; и градом истребится убежище лжи, и воды потопят место укрывательства.
18 И союз ваш со смертью рушится, и договор ваш с преисподнею не устоит. Когда пойдет всепоражающий бич, вы будете попраны.
19 Как скоро он пойдет, схватит вас; ходить же будет каждое утро, день и ночь, и один слух о нем будет внушать ужас.
20 Слишком коротка будет постель, чтобы протянуться; слишком узко и одеяло, чтобы завернуться в него.
21 Ибо восстанет Господь, как на горе Перациме; разгневается, как на долине Гаваонской, чтобы сделать дело Свое, необычайное дело, и совершить действие Свое, чудное Свое действие.
22 Итак не кощунствуйте, чтобы узы ваши не стали крепче; ибо я слышал от Господа, Бога Саваофа, что истребление определено для всей земли.

32 Вот племена сынов Ноевых, по родословию их, в народах их. От них распространились народы на земле после потопа.
ГЛАВА 11.
1 На всей земле был один язык и одно наречие.
2 Двинувшись с востока, они нашли в земле Сеннаар равнину и поселились там.
3 И сказали друг другу: наделаем кирпичей и обожжем огнем. И стали у них кирпичи вместо камней, а земляная смола вместо извести.
4 И сказали они: построим себе город и башню, высотою до небес, и сделаем себе имя, прежде нежели рассеемся по лицу всей земли.
5 И сошел Господь посмотреть город и башню, которые строили сыны человеческие.
6 И сказал Господь: вот, один народ, и один у всех язык; и вот что начали они делать, и не отстанут они от того, что задумали делать;
7 сойдем же и смешаем там язык их, так чтобы один не понимал речи другого.
8 И рассеял их Господь оттуда по всей земле; и они перестали строить город [и башню].
9 Посему дано ему имя: Вавилон, ибо там смешал Господь язык всей земли, и оттуда рассеял их Господь по всей земле.

20 Желание исполнившееся – приятно для души; но несносно для глупых уклоняться от зла.
21 Общающийся с мудрыми будет мудр, а кто дружит с глупыми, развратится.
22 Грешников преследует зло, а праведникам воздается добром.
23 Добрый оставляет наследство и внукам, а богатство грешника сберегается для праведного.
24 Много хлеба бывает и на ниве бедных; но некоторые гибнут от беспорядка.
25 Кто жалеет розги своей, тот ненавидит сына; а кто любит, тот с детства наказывает его.
26 Праведник ест до сытости, а чрево беззаконных терпит лишение.
ГЛАВА 14.
1 Мудрая жена устроит дом свой, а глупая разрушит его своими руками.
2 Идущий прямым путем боится Господа; но чьи пути кривы, тот небрежет о Нем.
3 В устах глупого – бич гордости; уста же мудрых охраняют их.
4 Где нет волов, там ясли пусты; а много прибыли от силы волов.
5 Верный свидетель не лжет, а свидетель ложный наговорит много лжи.
6 Распутный ищет мудрости, и не находит; а для разумного знание легко. Isaiah. Chapter 28, verses 14-22.
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because you say, 'We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement: when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come to us - have made lies our refuge, and deception hid ourselves. "
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone - a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 And I will set judgment criterion of truth and weights; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death collapses, and your agreement with hell shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge shall pass, you shall be trodden down.
19 As he will soon take you; will walk the same every morning, day and night, and one hearing of it will instill terror.
20 For the bed is too short to reach out; and the blanket is too narrow to wrap oneself in it.
21 For the Lord will rise up as on Mount Peratsime; angry, as in the valley of Gibeon, to do his work, his strange work, and perform his act, his marvelous action.
22 Therefore do not be mockers, lest your bands be made strong; for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
Being. Chapter 10, verse 32, Chapter 11, verses 1-9.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their, in their nations. From these were the nations on the earth after the flood.
CHAPTER 11.
1 And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
2 journeyed from the east, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3 And they said one to another, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar.
4 And they said, Let us build ourselves a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do, and nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do;
7 Let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 And the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth; and they stopped building the city [and the tower].
9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth, and from there the LORD scattered them all over the earth.
The proverbs of Solomon. Chapter 13, verses 20-26. Chapter 14, verses 1-6.
20 The desire accomplished - sweet to the soul; but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.
21 He that is walking with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools who destroyed.
22 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
23 A good man leaves an inheritance to his grandchildren, but the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
24 Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but some die from the disorder.
25 Who spares his rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
26 The righteous eat to satiety, but the belly of the wicked suffers deprivation.
CHAPTER 14.
1 The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish it down with her hands.
2 Going straight path fear the Lord; but whose ways are crooked, the unmindful of him.
3 In the mouth of the foolish - a rod of pride; lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; and a lot of profit from the strength of the ox.
5 A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies.
