1 Песнь восхождения. Давида. Если бы не Господь был с нами, - да скажет Израиль, -
2 если бы не Господь был с нами, когда восстали на нас люди,
3 то живых они поглотили бы нас, когда возгорелась ярость их на нас;
4 воды потопили бы нас, поток прошел бы над душею нашею;
5 прошли бы над душею нашею воды бурные.
6 Благословен Господь, Который не дал нас в добычу зубам их!
7 Душа наша избавилась, как птица, из сети ловящих: сеть расторгнута, и мы избавились.
8 Помощь наша - в имени Господа, сотворившего небо и землю.
1 Song of Ascension. David. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel say,
2 if it were not for the Lord to be with us, when people rebelled against us,
3 then they would have consumed the living when their fury was kindled against us;
4 waters would sink us, the stream would pass over our soul;
5 would pass over our soul stormy waters.
6 Blessed be the Lord, who did not give us prey to their teeth!
7 Our soul has been delivered, like a bird, from a network of fishers: the network has been dissolved, and we have got rid.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
