Arcade Fire is a Canadian rock band formed by Duet Win Butler and Ridges Chassen in 2003 in Montreal, Quebec, and performing experimental alternative rock with elements of art rock and post-punk. Using, along with traditional instruments, accordion, harp and string, the group practices concerts-heptening, during which Improvizes, with at times withdrawing thousands of crowds of spectators to the streets and in the parks.
Both group albums have honored high evaluations of criticism. Debut Funeral (2004) ranked first in the MTV2 50 Greatest Albums of the Year and received 2 Grammy nominations. The second, Neon Bible (2007) headed the album lists of Canada and Ireland, in the USA and the UK rose to the 2nd place and went out on the 1st place on the list of the best albums of the 2007 magazine Q Magazine. In 2008, the album was nominated for Brit Awards and became the Juno Awards laureate in the Best Alternative Album of the Year.
